Helen has been involved in leadership and mission for over twenty-five years. She began her working life as a youth worker and then went on to lead Scripture Union Northern Ireland and more recently was the Principal of Belfast Bible College. Helen carries an optimism to life and ministry, and her heart is to see others grow in their relationship with Jesus, carrying a bias for young people and especially those who invest in young people’s lives.

Helen has a PhD from the University of Chester, researching the nature of youth ministry in Northern Ireland and the significance that youth work and ministry can have on young people and their communities. Helen joined the team at CIY in 2022 and is excited about the opportunities ahead and the significance of investing in faith formation with young people. Helen lives in Belfast and is part of a growing church plant in the city centre. She will contend that she has the best friends in the world and enjoys any excuse to mark a moment and celebrate life together.
