HELPFUL INFORMATION

We want you to have fun while you raise funds for Project-Y. Use your imagination and involve others in the challenge. You can raise the funds with one single box of Lucky Charms, or if you need to use more than one box that is no problem at all. The goal is to raise at least $50 per person.

This is in no way an exhaustive list. In fact, we are excited to see the creative and fun ideas that students come up with for this challenge. But, here are some ideas to get you started:

1. Cereal Art Contest: Host a contest where participants create artwork from Lucky Charms. Charge an entry fee and offer prizes donated by local businesses.

2. Breakfast Fundraiser: Organize a breakfast event serving dishes made from Lucky Charms. Include ticket sales and a donation box.

3. Virtual Cereal Party: Invite family and friends online from further distances and host a virtual breakfast party. Participants can join with their bowl of Lucky Charms and donate online to take part as you share the vision of Project-Y.

4. Marshmallow Guess: Count out the number of marshmallows in the box. Pour the entire box into a jar. Hold a contest on who can guess the number of Marshmallows in the jar. To make a guess costs $5 dollars. The winner gets a prize.

5. Cereal Bracelets: Make bracelets or necklaces out of the lucky charms and sell as a funny breakfast snack!

6. Line Them Up: Line up the lucky charms in a straight line, end to end, and measure the distance exactly. Let people guess the distance and the closest guess wins a prize. $5 per entry.

Virtual Celebration: At the end of the campaign, CIY Europe aim to host an online celebration to mark the achievements of the students. We will highlight the top fundraisers, most innovative and fun ideas, and total funds raised.

Please visit our resource page where you will find videos and research about Project-Y. You can show the videos in your church, or to your friends, to help you tell the story of the clear need for youth workers/pastors in Ireland.
