Project-Y 2025 Campaign - Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: [1st June 2025]

1. Eligibility

This competition is open to students who will be enrolled in grades 6 through 12 during the 2025–2026 school year and who are legal residents of the United States.

Only individual entries are permitted. Team or group entries are not eligible to win.

Participants must register through CIY Europe’s official fundraising platform using the designated donation links.

2. Parental Consent and Registration

- Students under 13 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the registration on their behalf.
- Students aged 13 or older may complete their own registration, but must confirm they have received parental or guardian consent.

Registration is not valid without the appropriate consent. CIY may verify a participant's age and guardian details.

3. Competition Period and Fundraising Rules

- The competition is currently open and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on March 17, 2026.
- Only funds raised via CIY’s official fundraising platform will count toward a participant’s total.
- Participants may use external tools to fundraise, but all donations must be transferred to CIY’s platform before the deadline to be eligible.
- There is no minimum fundraising threshold required to participate.

Note: CIY Europe is a Registered Charity in Republic of Ireland and does not currently hold 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in the U.S. As a result, employers/companies may decline to provide match fund donations. For those that still do match fund, please be aware that matched funds can take 30–90 days to be processed and paid out. Only donations (including matched amounts) that are received in CIY’s official fundraising platform by the competition deadline will count toward a participant’s total. Participants and families should verify match eligibility and timing with their employer before relying on matched funds.

4. Winner Selection and Notification

- The winner will be the individual who raises the highest verified fundraising total through CIY’s platform by the competition deadline.
- In the unlikely event of a tie, CIY will determine the winner based on a random draw between tied participants.
- The winner will be contacted via the contact information provided at registration (or via their parent/guardian if under 13) no later than 24th March 2026.
- If the winner is unable or unwilling to accept the prize, the prize will transfer to the next highest donation.

5. The Prize

The winner will receive:
- Reimbursement for two (2) round-trip economy-class flights from a major U.S. airport to Dublin, Ireland, up to a maximum of $1,500 total per person.
- Accommodation and travel for two people for up to 4 nights will be provided by CIY Europe.

- CIY will not book the winner’s flights directly. Instead, CIY will reimburse the cost of flights up to the agreed limit based on standard flexible economy fare (including one checked bag per traveler).

- The dates of travel will be arranged and agreed with CIY Europe before any bookings are completed.

- One traveler must be the participant. The second traveler may be a parent/legal guardian or another adult, for example the youth pastor, with written guardian consent.

Flight Cancellation or Non-Use
If the participant cancels their trip after receiving reimbursement, CIY may request the return of any previously disbursed travel funds, unless the cancellation is due to a valid emergency and approved by CIY.

Accommodation Scope
Accommodation will be provided only for the agreed duration of the trip. Any extended stays or personal travel plans outside this window will be the sole responsibility of the winner and guardian.

CIY Europe will arrange the lodging and the logistics of the travel around Ireland.

6. Travel Responsibilities and Limitations

- Participants are responsible for securing and paying for valid passports, visas, travel authorizations, and any related documentation.
- CIY does not provide travel insurance. Participants are required to obtain travel insurance independently.

CIY is not responsible for:
- Travel disruptions (e.g., flight cancellations or delays)
- Government travel restrictions
- Health-related disruptions (e.g., COVID-19 or other medical issues)
- Personal or financial issues that prevent the participant from traveling.

7. Withdrawal and Refunds

Participants may withdraw at any time by notifying CIY in writing. However, all donations submitted via CIY’s fundraising platform are final and non-refundable, unless otherwise required by law.

If a participant withdraws, their fundraising total will no longer count toward the competition, and they will be ineligible to win.

8. Code of Conduct

The winner and travel companion will be visiting churches and perhaps CIY related events, depending on the agreed dates. It is expected that participants will represent CIY and their local Church in a manner befitting these organizations.
